Fish and chip Friday at Penrith care homeResidents at HC-One’s Croft Avenue care home in Penrith enjoyed one of their favourite pastimes, having a traditional fish and chip lunch.

Each Residents selected what they wanted from the menu, whilst reminiscing of happy memories at the seaside eating fish and chips from last week’s newspaper and feeding their leftovers to the seagulls.

Most opted for traditional fish and chips, while others went for something a little different, including, a steak and ale pie or chip butty with curry sauce. Everyone was excited when the food arrived and enjoyed eating their meal together.

Residents agreed that the food was delicious, with some commenting that it was a lovely treat to eat fish and chips from the chip shop again.

Croft Avenue Home Manager, Teresa McGuiness said: “After a difficult year, you really do appreciate the smaller things in life, like eating a delicious fish and chip lunch.”
