Football fun at Uxbridge care homeResidents at HC-One’s Cedar House care home sat with Colleagues in excitement this week as they were preparing for England’s match against Denmark for the Euro 2020 Semi Final.

Residents cheered as they watched the footbal team reach the final for the fist time in 55 years, since the victory against Germany in the 1966 World Cup – a memorable day for many.

Everyone celebrated in style with plenty of singing and dancing as they waved their England flags in excitement. One Resident, an ex-professional ballet dancer, even demonstrated her flexibility as she celebrated with high leg kicks!

Laughter and joy was had throughout the home in such a wonderful atmosphere, as Residents sat afterwards to share their memories of the World Cup.

One Resident remarked: “I’ve enjoyed having a lovely sing-along today – Sweet Caroline was my favourite! So proud of the win for England.”
