It’s that time of the year again at HC-One’s
The Elms, Peterborough, when Residents start getting ready for the gardening competition later in the year.
The gardening club is in full swing and Residents have been sowing summer seeds. Some of the Residents have enjoyed painting golf balls to make them look like ladybirds and once they have been varnished, Residents will be dotting them around the garden.
During the last garden club get together the weather was lovely so everyone enjoyed ice cream and chatted about their activities. Residents Jeff and Kevin have volunteered to regularly keep an eye on the seeding and water as they are currently undercover in the greenhouse.
Residents commented that it was nice to have the lovely weather, others enjoyed their ice cream while others said how much they loved planting the seeds in their pots.
Part of a residential community on the outskirts of the market town of Whittlesey in Peterborough, The Elms is a friendly care home with 37 beds, offering residential, nursing, nursing dementia and residential dementia care.
