Games in the garden for Care Home Open Week at Admirals ReachFor Care Home Open Week, Colleagues and Residents at Admirals Reach residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Chelmsford, are looking forward to their Open Day on Friday 1st July, with lots of preparations currently underway.

Care Home Open Week is a little different this year with the activities across the nation taking part over a week, as opposed to just one day as with previous years. It is hosted by Championing Social Care, a volunteer-led group with the aim of ensuring public understanding, appreciation and respect for social care.

On the actual Open Day, there will be a variety of games in the garden for all Residents to take part in, including ‘Hook-a-Duck’, mini golf, bowling, target games and giant darts.

Some light refreshments will be served as well as music played in the afternoon for a nice tea together, involving Residents, Relatives and Colleagues.

Sue Smith, Senior Housekeeper and Activities Coordinator, commented, “We can’t wait for the events which will be happening on our open day at Admirals Reach Care Home on 1st July.”
