Garforth care home Residents enjoy summer sunshine at Kirkstall Abbey

Residents at Augustus Court care home in Garforth made the most of the summer sunshine with a visit to Kirkstall Abbey.

Everyone enjoyed walking around the Abbey, admiring the amazing architecture, followed by a walk around the shops.

The afternoon was rounded off with a delicious picnic in the summer sunshine, including a refreshing portion of strawberries and cream.

One Resident commented: “I have had such a lovely day. I can’t wait to do this again.”

Jane Carr, Home Manager at Augustus Court, said: “Our Residents love choosing where they would like to visit next, with us exploring a different place every week. Kirkstall Abbey was certainly a popular choice and is somewhere everyone would like to revisit soon.”
