Glasgow care home Residents set sail to KirkintillochResidents from HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow have been busy enjoying a relaxing barge trips to Kirkintilloch throughout August on the Seagull Trust barge. 

The home organised four days in August for different Residents to get out on water for a tranquil trip to Kirkintilloch, with a delicious fish and chip lunch, the opportunity admire the beautiful scenery and watch all of the wildlife.

All of the Residents who chose to go on the barge trips had a wonderful time, accompanied by family and members of the care team from Wyndford Locks. For one Resident it was their first time on a barge trip, Agnes said that it was a great day out and looks forward to her next barge trip.

Wyndford Locks Home Manager, Karen Watson said: “Barge trips can be such a lovely, peaceful day out for our Residents, thank you to the Seagull Trust for making all four trips such an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.”
