Residents and team members at HC-One’s Balfarg care home in Glenrothes are showing their support for Scotland during the 2021 UEFA European Football Championship.
To kick off the first match day, Residents made Scottish flags in the morning ready to wave as they watched the match later that day. The team served crisps, chocolates and beer as Residents gathered to watch the game on the big screen, everyone sang Flower of Scotland and cheered as the whistle was blown to signal kick off.
After a disappointing first result, everyone at Balfarg is hoping for some more luck in the coming games. Balfarg Resident, Jimmy Cowan commented: “This felt like being at the pub with my mates.”
Balfarg Home Manager, Sharon Watson said: “It’s wonderful to see everyone getting in the spirit, we will be cheering for Scotland until the end.”
Located on Kilmichael Road, Balfarg care home offers short and long term care packages to older ladies and gentlemen in Glenrothes that require residential care, nursing care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
