Today the kitchen team at
Hyde care home on Tameside, which offers nursing and nursing dementia care, put on an exciting baking activity.
Cook Erica Eright and Head Chef Shannon Frankland decided to make cupcakes with three of the Residents, Bill Carruthers, Graham Myatt and Sheila Gregory. The Residents had a great time and managed to share a few jokes with one another and reminisce about baking when they were younger.
Adam, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “Thank you to the girls for making sure that meaningful activities can still happen due to how busy I've been arranging other things for Residents.”
Bill said, “I enjoyed the baking today it was nice.”
Erica added, “I really enjoyed spending time with the Residents today and hearing them laugh together.”
