Residents at
Greenfield Park, nursing care home in Glasgow have had a great time celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Jean Wright, a Resident, aged 102 at Greenfield Park attended a Veteran Charity Event alongside her niece Catherine.
On the morning of the event, Jean travelled in a taxi through the streets of Glasgow in a taxi, she really enjoyed this ride out to the event. The event was held at Glasgow Central Station.
The event was fantastic, and Jean was thrilled to have been invited. There was a beautiful spread of food which included sandwiches, cakes and mocktails. Special guests were at the event which included the Mayor and Station Master.
Jean was honoured to attend the event and felt very important. She commented, “I had a lovely day and felt like a VIP.”
Sharon Miller, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We are very happy that Jean was able to attend the celebrations with her fellow Veterans.”
