Greengables care home build relationship with local nurseryResidents at Greengables residential and nursing care home, in Congleton, enjoyed a socially distanced outdoor visit from local nursery children.

The Residents prepared for the visit by making sweetie bags for each child who attended the nursery and also practised the song 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer'.

The children from Friendly Faces Nursery waved and sang along with the Residents; they also really enjoyed their sweetie bags.

One Resident said she loved to hear the children sing, it reminded her of her children when they were small.

Others commented on how well behaved the children were and how wonderful it was to hear them sing.

Keeley Hackney, Care Home Manager, remarked, “This was such a lovely morning and I even heard one Resident say that it had warmed her heart to see the children and she hoped that they would visit again.”
