Grimsby care home Residents celebrate Chinese New YearTo celebrate Chinese New Year at Clarendon Hall residential and nursing care home, in Humberston

The year of the tiger started off with activities to make tiger themed decorations that are 'stained glass' to display on the home’s windows.

Then on the day of the new year, Colleagues and Residents had a party with lots of Chinese food and drinks to try. There were also some beautiful fireworks on display, and everyone discussed some facts about Chinese New Year.

Everyone, including Residents pictured Mark Boon, Susannah Amos and Ruby Wilkinson, particularly enjoyed being able to try different foods and drinks. One of the Residents remarked, “Really enjoyable thank you for the effort put in by the staff.”

Pat Sumpter, a Resident, said that she really enjoyed trying the food but wasn’t so keen on the tea!

Nicola Walker, Home Manager, commented, “It was lovely to see the Residents trying the foods and there was nothing left for the staff to try!”
