The Hornchurch in Essex, which provides nursing, residential, residential dementia and nursing dementia care, Residents were delighted to have their hair done in the care homes salon.
All Residents were given the opportunity to have their hair done by their hairdresser who came back into the home for the first time in a while. This was very enjoyable for the Residents as it gave them the opportunity to have a range of different treatments to their hair, including, a wash, blow-dry, rollers and set cut with even more options possible on request.
The Residents were offered refreshments whilst having their hair done, giving them the full salon experience. With the return of the hairdresser, it has provided the option of getting this done weekly.
One Resident said, “The hairdresser is really good, my hair looks nice doesn’t it”.
Pervine, the Home Manager went on to say, “We are really please to be able to resume weekly hairdresser appointments at our home salon”.
