This month at
Willow Brook in Nottingham, which offers residential and residential dementia care, Residents and Colleagues have been getting their spooky spirit in full swing.
Wellbeing Coordinators have been arranged various activities for Residents to get involved with in anticipation of Halloween at the end of the month. A spooky inflatable Witch and Witch house had been setup for anybody who would like their photo taken with, which also had a mix of different Halloween accessories to wear. Residents had also been carving pumpkins for the main table next to the inflatable, which was also decorated with a scary looking zombie bride and cobwebs.
The majority of Willow Brook currently has Halloween decorations, both brought in by staff and what had been prepared by the Residents. A party has been arranged for the 29th of this month to celebrate Halloween together, where the zombie bride will be reunited with the zombie groom.
Some Residents speaking afterwards praised how well the home is currently looking, one Resident said, “I really enjoyed carving the pumpkin for the groom, the home looks amazing!” and another said, “The home looks amazing, I’m really looking forward to tomorrows party”.
Marie, the Home Manager commented “It has been lovely seeing all the Residents and the staff have fun together, getting the home ready for Halloween”.
