Hatfield care home Resident receives surprise from lifelong favourite football teamFreddie, a Resident at HC-One’s St. Christopher’s Care Home on Drakes Way, Hatfield, was delighted as he received a wonderful surprise from his favourite football team – Arsenal FC.

Colleagues at the home contacted the club’s representatives on behalf of lifelong supporter Freddie, as they asked if the team could possibly assist in providing some wonderful memorabilia to decorate his room with.

The club generously responded by sending a reply addressed to Freddie, alongside a signed team photograph and letter of authentication to proudly be displayed in Freddie’s bedroom.

When Colleagues presented Freddie with this wonderful gift, he was simply overcome with joy and emotion, remarking that it was “his proudest day ever”.

Ioana Moraru-Manole, Home Manager, commented: “We are so thankful to Arsenal FC for putting such a big smile on Freddie’s face. Listening to the memories this brought back for him was simply the best thing and brought a tear to everyone’s eye.”

Located in a peaceful residential area of Hatfield in Hertfordshire, St. Christopher’s is a friendly care home with 163 beds, offering nursing and nursing dementia care.
