Hawaiian party for Wigan care home ResidentsToday at HC-One’s Ashton View care home, in Ashton-in-Makerfield, which offers residential memory care, nursing and nursing memory care for those living with dementia, Residents have taken part in a fun-filled day with a Hawaiian themed party.

Residents on the Gerard and Pilling Communities within the home put on their grass skirts, hats, sunglasses and wigs and fully immersed themselves in the day. Everyone particularly enjoyed throwing the beachball, singing and dancing to ‘Blue Hawaii’ by Elvis Presley.

Everyone loved the dancing and dressing up and there was even the opportunity to go full on beach day with building sandcastles in the sand.

Demelza James, Care Home Manager, said, “It gave Residents the opportunity to meet other Residents on the different unit and they enjoyed introducing themselves to each other. It was a really lovely day!”
