On Thursday 9th June, Residents at
Hebburn Court, residential, nursing and dementia care home, in Hebburn were delighted to receive such a fantastic performance from the local nursery pupils.
As part of recent Jubilee celebrations, children from the local nursery were dressed up as the Queens guards and special hats, and waving flags as they made their way down to the care home.
The staff and children performed in the garden singing a selection of songs chosen to celebrate the Queens Jubilee.
There were lots of refreshments for everyone and the Residents made the children thank you gifts. There was a local reporter at the home to document such a fantastic day.
Lots of fun was had and the Residents couldn’t stop smiling. One Resident, commented, “We had the sunshine, smiles all around and we all had a really great day.”
Another Resident, said, “The children’s costumes were amazing. I felt like the Queen having the guards sing to us!”
Dale Summersby, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was lovely to see the how much joy the Residents brought the children. The smiles on their faces said it all.”
