Hexham care home create stunning poppy display in homes windowsResidents at HC-One’s Acomb Court care home in Hexham have been keeping up community links with the nursery by making a huge poppy display.

Colleagues at the home, Residents and children have been working hard to make each poppy by hand for the homes display. They were then cut out by a dedicated team of "snippers" which was Corrie and Jinny and Gillian a domestic Nurse and Mary Stewart and Sonia Swallow, who are Residents at the home.

Sonia Swallow a Resident at Acomb said: "Wow this is better than I expected, I am glad I was involved.”

Corrie even got her poor husband involved, who was up until 10pm cutting out poppies.

Colleagues at Acomb then decided to put the beautiful handmade poppies on display in the homes window to commemorate Remembrance Day. This looked fantastic and gave the opportunity for all the children who got involved see all the hard work on display on the way to and from nursery.
