Hinckley Park care home Residents get in the mood for a right royal knees-up!Residents at HC-One’s Hinckley Park care home, in Hinckley, Leicestershire, have been enjoying making an early start celebrating King Charles’ coronation.

The 35-bed care home, that offers residential and nursing care, has been decked out in a colourful array of union flag bunting and red, white and blue decorations ahead of the coronation weekend. And a live singer has even been entertaining Residents with a selection of popular songs to get everybody swinging into the party spirit.

Residents began counting down to the weekend celebrations with a coronation themed coffee morning on Tuesday 2nd May, where Residents, Relatives and Colleagues were asked to write down their advice for the new king.

On Wednesday 3rd May, local singer Rob Wilson popped in to lead a good old-fashioned singalong of classics such as Sweet Caroline and Roll Out the Barrel, before finishing off with the National Anthem. The lounge at Hinckley Park was filled to the brim with Residents, Relatives and Colleagues all joining in and enjoying plates of homemade cakes.

One Resident commented, “What a great time we're having, everyone's been really enjoying themselves!”
Sukai Drammeh, Care Home Manager, said, “This has been a brilliant few days and everyone has really enjoyed themselves. What a treat and roll on the coronation weekend!”
