This week at
Hinckley Park in Leicestershire, Colleagues have been saying their farewells to a longstanding member of staff, Liz Wilkinson.
Liz has worked at Hinckley Park for 22 years and has decided to put one final load of washing and retire. Before moving to Hinckley Park Liz spent 7 years at their sister home, The Willows.
Liz has been a real asset to the home for many years, offering wisdom, advice and the occasional bad joke! Her laundry has always been the epitome of tidy with everything having its place and presence has bought a lot of comfort to Residents, Relatives and Colleagues.
On announcing her retirement she requested “no fuss”, which was promptly ignored and a leaving party equipped with her favourite food and drink was arranged. Colleagues gave her gifts and cards and some spending money for her first holiday in retirement.
Liz commented, “I knew you’d do this! You didn’t have to! Thank you all so much”.
Colleagues at Hinckley Park went on to say, “Liz it’s been an absolute pleasure We all love you and we will miss you greatly. Enjoy your retirement!”
