One of the Residents at HC-One’s
Avon Court care home, in Wiltshire, which offers nursing, residential and nursing dementia care, has been doing some baking this month.
Marina Quainton asked Wellbeing Coordinator, Lyn Neate, if she could do some baking for the home’s afternoon tea trolley, and Lyn was more than happy to make this happen.
Marina enjoys making cakes and is very good at it too, so when she presented a delicious carrot cake for the tea-time trolley on 1st March, everyone was eager to have a piece!
Everyone said how delicious it was and looking forward to her next creation, which she said is going to be a lemon drizzle cake.
Lyn commented, “It was lovely seeing a Resident doing something she enjoys while putting a smile on everyone’s’ faces.”
