Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Hornchurch Care Home enjoyed a week of activities as they celebrated Pride Week together in the home.
The Wellbeing team decorated the home with a variety of deocrations, including posters, flags, stickers, balloons and bunting, as well as holding various arts and crafts sessions throughout the home.
Colleagues joined the festivity as they wore colourful clothing and helped Residents paint their Pride posters during arts and crafts sessions. The Residents especially enjoyed being able to pick the colours they would use in their art work and they made them as colourful as they possibly could.
Refreshments including tea, coffee, biscuits and doughnuts were offered to all Residents, which they thoroughly enjoyed as they took part in each of the exciting activities.
Residents remarked at how much they enjoyed all of the colourful decorations and “painting the rainbows”, whilst Home Manager, Tania Banner, commented: “I am really proud of everyone in the home for participating in a week of exciting activities!”
Situated in a peaceful residential area of Hornchurch, The Hornchurch is a friendly care home with 55 beds, offering nursing, residential, residential dementia and nursing dementia care.
