Spirits were high at HC-One’s The Oakes care home in Huddersfield as Residents celebrated England reaching the finals of the UEFA European Football Championship.
Residents and team members gathered at The Oakes on Sunday to cheer for England in the final against Italy, some Residents had the English flag painted on their face to show their support.
Everyone gave a huge round of applause when England scored, but when it came down to penalties Italy were victorious. Residents commented that while they were disappointed that England hadn’t won, they were very proud of the team for making it to the finals and their efforts throughout the tournament.
The Oakes Home Manager, Macheala Parker said: “We have enjoyed supporting our country throughout the tournament, everyone at The Oakes is grateful to our talented England team.”
