Hug in a mug donation for Kendal care homeHC-One’s Summerhill care home in Kendal was pleased to receive a large ‘hug in a mug’ donation from a local scheme.

The ‘hug in a mug’ is a mug with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and other bits to help someone relax with a warm beverage, sixty-five hugs in a mug were donated to Summerhill care home. Each Resident received their own and all left over mugs will be kept and given to new Residents upon their arrival to the home.

Everyone was pleased with their new mug, with one Resident commenting: “How lovely, I am going to save mine to enjoy a cold winter night.”

Summerhill Home Manager, Kathleen Dean said: “Thank you to our local community for this thoughtful donation, it has brought a smile to all the faces here at Summerhill.”
