Today at
Kings Park nursing memory care home, in Ashton-under-Lyne, Residents have enjoyed some cool refreshments while outside in the garden enjoying some good summery weather!
Everybody worked together to make a start on sprucing up the home’s patio area, which involved planting the bedding plants which were recently donated from the local Asda Community Champion.
The Resident gardening expert, Len, gave great instruction for colleagues to follow while fellow Residents Paula and Ann worked hard on the planters. Len said, “They’ll look great once they’re blooming!”
Ann added, “It’s good to be outside, the new flowers smell lovely and we should get some nice benches too.”
Manager Lisa got stuck in too along with Residents Bill, Harold, Carolyn, Geoff, Joan and Liz.
Lisa said, “Our Residents have enjoyed being part of creating a space that they can enjoy outdoors.”
“There is lots left to do to create an enjoyable outdoor area for our Resident but we have made a great start.”
