Residents at HC-One’s Sycamore’s care home in Manchester recently enjoyed a little tipple in the homes ‘The Sycamore’s bar.’
Around 20 Sycamore Residents from different units in the home, came together at the pub, all socially distanced, to enjoy a little festive tipple. Residents enjoyed a mixture of drinks, including cocktails such as Sex on the Beach and shorts like Whiskey, Brandy, Vodka and a nice selection of wines, lagers and ciders. There was also a choice of non-alcoholic drinks for Residents who didn’t choose to drink anything alcoholic.
Some of the Residents had not tried a cocktail before but they were thoroughly enjoyed with Residents commenting that they were ‘smooth’ and ‘very sweet’. Residents also enjoyed some classic pub snacks such as crisps, cakes and nuts.
During the afternoon, Colleagues turned on the homes record player to listen to some 60’s rock and roll hits before using the big smart screen to watch videos of old dancing such the Jive.
Residents enjoyed themselves and were happy enough to socialise whilst keeping a safe distance from others, chatting, sing and dancing along.
