Hyde Residents get their culinary skills out for cake makingThe 10th February marked a creative kitchen day for some Residents at Hyde care home, in Greater Manchester, which offers nursing and nursing dementia care.

Graham and Jean, who both live at the home (and pictured), joined kitchen Colleague Shell Burns and they all made Rice Krispie cakes by adding chocolate to the cereal and mixing together. Then placing the mixture into bun cases before transporting them in the fridge to set.

The mixing was the highlight of the activity for both Residents; and precision was key!

Shell commented, “Both Residents really enjoyed the activity.”
