Today at Warrington’s
Callands care home, which offers residential, nursing, residential memory care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia, an ice-cream parlour opened for the day to delight Residents with a number of tasty ice-cold treats in the sunshine!
There was an ice-cream parlour set up by Colleagues, which went down a treat in the hot weather; there were a lot of Residents who joined in throughout the day and staff also took it mobile onto the units.
A little taster session for some that asked just to see what they liked the best was also accommodated.
Sam and Kirsty, both Colleagues who organised the afternoon, commented, “It was lovely to talk to the Residents about old times of what their favourite ice-creams were and what they liked with their ice-creams.”
