Intergenerational relationships delight at Gateshead care homeThe community at HC-One’s Springfield House care home in Low Fell, Gateshead has developed a lovely friendship with Haskel School during the covid-19 pandemic.

Throughout the pandemic, Residents have been writing to the pupils of Haskel School and have enjoyed sharing stories and learning about their lives. Everyone at Springfield House was pleasantly surprised with their recent delivery of a beautiful piece of artwork from the school.

Residents have admired the wonderful artwork and are already thinking of ideas of how they can add to the piece and send photographs to the students.

Springfield House Home Manger, Kay Rudd said: “It’s wonderful to see intergenerational friendships forming between our Residents and the students of Haskel School.”

Located on Durham Road, Springfield House offers short and long term care for older ladies and gentlemen in Gateshead that require residential care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
