International Nurses Day at Pennwood LodgePennwood Lodge care home, in Kingswood, celebrated International Nurses Day by presenting their nurses at the residential, nursing and dementia care home, with  a gift. 

Sheila Edwards, who is a Resident at the home (pictured centre with nurses Anela Gill and Kirsty Hopton), presented nurses with a parker pen to mark the occasion and to thank them for their continuous kind care.

Shelia has lived at Pennwood Lodge for the past 12 months and was a nurse for more than 17 years. She commented, “It was an honour to present these nurses with these gifts. They are such dedicated people."

Everyone enjoyed the award ceremony where people watched and clapped.

Sarah Daly, Care Home Manager, commented, “It is really important to recognise and celebrate the wealth of knowledge and experience that our nursing team have.”
