Inverness Residents take a cruise from the comfort of homeResidents have enjoyed a lovely trip to Paris all from the comfort of their armchairs at HC-One’s Cradlehall care home in Cradlehall, Highland.

They set sail first thing in the morning as Residents were seated in the dining area of the SS Cradlehall for breakfast. Residents enjoyed croissants and tea while they listened to French songs.

They then enjoyed a delicious French-themed lunch and afternoon tea before an enthusiastic game of bowls.

One Resident commented: “I loved the French music – it reminded me of being in Paris on my honeymoon. Where are we off to next?”

After tucking into French delicacies, Residents travelled through the streets of Paris as they took a virtual tour on their tablets where they could take in the sights and sounds of the busy city.

They enjoyed reminiscing and swapping stories with one another about French lessons in school, trips to the country and their favourite French songs; Frère Jacques and Alouette. Everyone enjoyed their day in Paris and are now looking forward to their next virtual trip when they travel to Italy.

Cradlehall Home Manager, Helen Thom, said: “Thank you to the great team at Cradlehall for working together to make this activity really special for our Residents.”
