Jarrow care home celebrates Valentine’s Day

Residents, friends, family and staff at HC-One’s Needham Court care home, on Stanhope Road in Jarrow celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday 14th February with live entertainment and a buffet lunch.

Love was in the air as everyone gathered in the lounge to watch a live performance from local singer, Ian James of the classic love ballads from decades past. A delicious buffet lunch was served for all and the home raised over £120 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund during the day.

Husbands and wives exchanged gifts during the event which was heart-warming for all to see. One Resident commented: “I am so pleased that everyone came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day, I’ve had a wonderful time.”
