Jaws and Claws visit Grosvenor Park

Residents at HC-One’s Grosvenor Park care home were delighted to receive a visit from Phil from local Jaws and Claws alongside a selection of exotic and furry animals.

Residents enjoyed holding and learning about each of the animals, some of which included a water dragon, rabbit, milk snake and giant African land snail. Everyone had a brilliant afternoon spent laughing together and learning various animal facts.

Phil assisted some Residents as they overcame their fears to get close to some of the reptiles that they had never touched before, and they were pleasantly surprised with the animals themselves.

Everyone remarked on how fascinating it was to learn about the animals eating habits and life cycles.

Jackie O'Callaghan, Home Manager, commented: “we have all had such a great afternoon. Everyone was brave as they held animals that they had never held before, and it was lovely to see them interacting with one another so well.”
