Residents at
The Orchard, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Tullibody, were very excited to be celebrating across the Jubilee weekend.
Over the long weekend Residents took part in lots of activities. Residents Mary, Ione Turner, Lesley Mowser, May Janowski and Anne started off with lots of crafting leading up to the Jubilee celebrations. All the artwork was put out on display for everyone to admire as they came into the home.
Residents later all got together on the lead up to the party watching movies about the Queen and her reign. They enjoyed telling stories about when the Queen visited their local town, it was great for everyone to share their experiences.
Celebrations took place all over the weekend and the Resident enjoyed an afternoon tea, which includes lots of special treats including strawberry tarts, scones with clotted cream and jam, and lots of tea and coffee. Whilst enjoying their afternoon tea, Residents enjoyed watching the Trooping of the Colours on the television.
