Jubilee street party at Greenways CourtResidents at HC-Ones Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Consett, were very excited to celebrate the Queens Jubilee.

At long last, the street party arrived at Greenways Court, and the weather was fantastic for the staff, Relatives and Residents to celebrate such a brilliant occasion.

To prepare for the party, the Residents got crafty and made all of the staff t-shirts to wear. They were so proud of the results, they looked great.

A singer was also arranged to perform on the day, and he was brilliant, he will be coming back to perform again soon. The Residents sang along with their friends and family, and it made such a good day.

The party was a huge success and may Relatives and neighbours of the care home came to celebrate. A lot of the visitors said they would love to come and join in with the summer fair next month as they had such a long time.

Everyone enjoyed the day, a Relative of Resident Nora Nesbit commented, “I am so thankful for the hard work the staff have put in to make the day good for everyone.”

Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We had such a great day. It is really important to keep our neighbours involved in our plans.”
