Residents and colleagues at Parklands Care Home in Bedwas, Caerphilly, part of HC-One Wales, are celebrating a heartwarming connection that’s been growing next door, thanks to their welcoming neighbours at the BTM Council Offices and Memorial Garden.
What began as occasional visits to the beautiful garden space beside the Council offices has quickly flourished into a cherished part of daily life at Parklands Care Home. The tranquil garden has become a favourite retreat for residents, offering peaceful strolls, sunny conversations, and a refreshing change of scenery.
However, it’s not just the garden itself that’s made a difference, it’s the people. The team at BTM have gone above and beyond to make Parklands Care Home residents and colleagues feel welcome, encouraging them to visit as often as they like. Their kindness doesn’t stop at the garden gate either, as they frequently stop by Parklands Care Home to share a smile and a friendly chat.
Amy Campbell, Home Manager at HC-One Wales’s Parklands Care Home, said:
“This is what community is all about. The warmth, the conversations, and the simple joy of spending time together, it’s become a beautiful extension of our home.”
The partnership is a shining example of HC-One Wales’s mission to foster kind care and meaningful community connections. Parklands Care Home would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone at BTM Council for their ongoing generosity and support.
