Kindness in Care Awards for two Sandon House ColleaguesColleagues at HC-One’s Sandon care home, in Mossley, Tameside, have gathered together to celebrate two awards presented for recognition in kind care.

Louise Schofield, Wellbeing Coordinator and Ariel Balena, Housekeeper and Care Assistant, were both awarded a HC-One Kindness in Care Award, which recognises Colleagues for above and beyond efforts.

Louise, who has worked at the 42-bed residential and residential dementia care home, was nominated for the award by Colleague Danielle Tolley. Louise shows a lot of love and care for the Residents she works with. She often goes the extra mile and makes a huge difference to the lives of the Residents. Louise always puts in a huge effort for any events in the home and always keeps the home looking its best.

Ariel Balena, who is a Housekeeper and Care Assistant at Sandon, was nominated by fellow Colleague Adele for always being such a big help to Colleagues and Residents in the home. No matter what job he is on he, will drop everything and come to help, and always does it with a smile on his face.

Lynne Campbell, Care Home Manager, presented the awards at the daily flash meeting when all of the team were present. Both Ariel and Louise got a big cheer and round of applause when their awards were presented.
