Kirby the dog visits Hyde ResidentsThis afternoon, Kirby the dog visited the Sycamores residential and residential memory care home, in Hyde.

Kirby is the Home Managers pet, who is a cross between a Poodle and a Bichon Frise which makes her an anti-allergen species.

The Residents were besotted with a visit from Kirby; many enjoyed petting and cuddling Kirby as she is very soft and fluffy! She is also a very clever dog that can perform cute and amazing tricks! The Residents watched in awe as Kirby danced around in circles on her back legs and was rewarded with a treat after showing off her moves!

Some of the Residents enjoyed feeding Kirby small bits of biscuits and chicken.

Kirby also enjoyed meeting the home’s pet, Pandora, who is a robotic cat that brings everyone a lot of joy and comfort. Kirby was very wary of Pandora, and the Residents had a good laugh watching Kirby take caution when she spotted Pandora.

Kirby is a very jolly dog, and everybody enjoyed her company! Lots of people said how much of a pleasure Kirby is, such a lovely happy doggy.

Marion Oliver, who is a Resident at the Sycamores, remarked, “She is so lovely, brings back many memories of my Peggy Sue (her old dog) from when I was a young girl.”

Renee Bell, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “I’m very pleased everybody enjoyed Kirby’s company, she will come and visit you all again!”
