Knitting for the St James Premature Baby UnitThe aim at Acacia Court, based in Pudsey, is to make a difference for those in need of help and support.

Last week at ‘Knit and Natter’, there was a discussion about the amazing work people do to support premature babies in hospital.

This touched the heart of lovely Resident, Shirley, and using her incredible talent in knitting, she spent three days creating over 30 premature baby hats for those in the neonatal ward of St James Hospital.

With all the hats ready to be delivered, Colleagues made a huge thank you sign for Shirley.

One Colleague said; “We know that those little hats will be so treasured by those who need them. At the heart of what we do is ‘Kindness in Care’ and Shirley did just that.”
