A very special Resident at HC-One’s Sabourn Court in Leeds recently celebrated a milestone birthday with some video calls from family and some lovely food.
Sabourn Resident Marjorie Widdop turned 104 on 14th January and Colleagues at the home made sure, despite the restrictions, that it was celebrated properly.
Colleagues first decorated Marjorie’s room with some beautiful 104 balloons and ‘Happy Birthday’ buntings. They also organised for Marjorie to have a few video calls with her family and friends so they could send there well wishes.
In the afternoon, everyone gathered together, socially distanced, and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Marjorie as a surprised and presented her with a lovely cake which the kitchen provided.
Marjorie really enjoyed her day and was thankful for all the staff, she even got a bit emotional seeing all the work that had gone into making her day so special.
