Leigh care home shortlisted as finalists in the Great British Care Awards 2020Richmond House, a HC-One care home in Leigh, Greater Manchester, has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Care Home Team category at the Great British Care Awards 2020. 

The care team were nominated by Richmond House’s Home Manager, Lorraine Scholey, and Deputy Home Manager, Dean Bent, because they are an inspirational and professional team of Colleagues who have shown they work well together as a team and support each other, as well as work hard to deliver a high standard of care to Residents. 

The judges shortlisted finalists for the award based on a number of criteria, including excellent communication skills, along with a shared vision and goals to ensure commitment to promoting dignity, respect and person-centred care is achieved for Residents. Each member of the team shows respect for each other and contributes their own skill strengths which are recognised by other members of the team.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events held throughout the UK in celebration of the excellence of those working in the care sector. The awards pay tribute to individuals in the care sector who have shown outstanding excellence within their area of work. The judging for this category will be taking place virtually this year on Monday 23rd November and the Great British Care Awards Gala Evening for this award category is due to take place on Saturday 24th April 2021 at The Kimpton Clock Hotel, Manchester, where the winner of this award will be announced.

Richmond House Care Home is one of eleven HC-One finalists that have been shortlisted in the National Care Awards, National Dementia Care Awards, Great British Care Awards, The Northern Echo County Durham Together Awards and the Care Heroes Awards 2020 across a variety of award categories.
