The Residents at Colton Lodges care home, based in Leeds, were given a live performance by a local singer.
The singer and performer Brandon Cook treated the Residents to a show which really encouraged audience participation.
Colleague Lois said: “Brandon came into our home and put on a great show of lots of different songs for all of our Residents.
“I really encouraged everyone to get involved, be that with singing along, dancing or waving their arms.”
Lois named the fun event ‘Sing Your Heart Out’ to inspire lots of audience participation throughout the course of the day.
Everyone thought that the day was great fun, with one of the Residents expressing that they had had a ‘most lovely day’ and felt ‘really happy and smiley’ which was a great sentiment to take away from the day.
Some of the Residents who enjoyed Brandon’s performance were Sylvia Carrier, Linda Carter and Jeff Wilson. They commented that the day had been great fun and they thought that Brandon had a fantastic voice.
To top off the already great day, the Residents, staff and Brandon were treated to beautiful weather, and were able to enjoy the day outside in the sunshine with lots of refreshments to keep them going.
