London care home celebrates Easter weekendResidents at HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home in London, which offers, residential, nursing and residential and nursing memory care, celebrated Easter weekend with lots of food, one to one activities and a fancy dress party.

On Good Friday staff offered Residents a variety of drinks, cakes, biscuits and finger foods to celebrate the day. Colleagues also considered religious requirements by ensuring they provided fish and chips for dinner for those Residents who wished to not eat meat.

On Holy Saturday the wellbeing team completed one to one activities in Residents rooms involving knitting, nail painting, puzzle making and reminiscing.

"I have really enjoyed the whole Easter weekend and enjoyed the company of staff who completed activities with me,” said one Hornchurch Resident.

Easter Sunday staff came to work dressed in a wide range of outfits including bumble bees and lady bugs. Over the course of the weekend all Residents really enjoyed the activities which they attended.

The Hornchurch Home Manager, Tania Banner said: “I am very pleased with all of the effort that my staff have put in over the Easter weekend to ensure it was special for Residents."

“As well as indoor one to one activity, Residents were also taken into our garden, which has recently been redecorated, to enjoy the nice weather.”
