On Mothering Sunday, Residents at HC-One’s Cedar Court care home in London celebrated with afternoon tea.
Colleagues had homemade scones with clotted cream and jam as well as angel slices and cherry Bakewell’s, sandwiches and lots of tea made for Residents, courtesy of the kitchen staff.
Colleagues Kerrie and Liv hosted gathering afternoon tea with a total of 8 Residents attending, who were all socially distanced. Residents also enjoyed spending time together and chatting about many things like everybody’s favourite cakes and reminiscing on being around family in last Mother’s Day celebrations.
Cedar Court sang to some music that was playing in the background and all had a laugh. The afternoon teas where set out ‘like they were at Harrods’ having afternoon tea. Residents were dressed up to celebrate the day.
Resident Jane said it was the ‘best day ever’ and Resident Christine said: “I have enjoyed spending time with others and chatting.”
