Lord Lieutenant unveils shop at Stirling care home

HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Kildean celebrated the opening of a new on-site shop for Residents with a grand opening ceremony performed by the Lord Lieutenant of Falkirk and Stirling on Wednesday 21st August.

The new volunteer-operated shop, which will sell a variety items including toiletries, is a highly anticipated addition to the home for Residents who are less able to get out and about in the local area. 

A grand opening was organised with the Lord Lieutenant as the guest of honour, who performed the official ribbon cutting for the shop. Residents were also treated to a special tropical-themed party, which was enjoyed by all. 

Yvonne Graham, Home Manager at Forthbank said: “The shop will make a real difference to the quality of lives of our Residents, it was wonderful to welcome the Lord Lieutenant to Forthbank to open latest home feature.”
