Residents at
Falstone Court, residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, situated in Sunderland, have been very busy preparing for Valentine’s Day.
Amanda, the Wellbeing Coordinator bought some little wooden hearts and the Residents painted them pink and red. One Resident, commented, “That was fun, messy fun!”
Keith, Joan, Glynis, Iris had great fun painting and are always keen to get involved.
Once the love hearts had dried, the Resident wrote messages onto the hearts to give to their loved ones.
Whilst writing the messages, the Residents listened to some love songs and enjoyed some chocolates.
The Residents were especially excited to give the hearts to their Relatives and loved ones.
Julie Merritt, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Everyone had fun and laughter.”
