Making a gingerbread house at Rose Court care homeManchester’s Rose Court residential, residential memory care, nursing and nursing memory care home is in full swing with the Christmas preparations, and on Saturday 11th December the Residents had great excitement making a gingerbread house.

The Residents involved had a kit to put together and decorate. The kit had panels for the house and roof, as well as a Christmas tree, Santa with a sleigh and reindeers.

Graham was the builder, Joyce, the designer, Malcolm, the tree designer and Norma, the Observer, all had a fabulous time trying to work out how to put the whole thing together.

The result was a beautifully decorated house, which looked very Christmassy.

Everyone enjoyed putting the gingerbread house together and are looking forward to eating the biscuits.

One of the Residents remarked, “We have never made a gingerbread house before, but we really enjoyed doing it!”

Karen Davies, Care Home Manager, said, “The Residents really enjoyed the activity and are eager to taste the end result.”
