A Resident at HC-One’s Guide Lane care home in Manchester has celebrated her 100th birthday early this July and was joined by Colleagues, Residents and family.
Dorothy Edge, who resides at Guide Lane care home celebrated her centenary on 8th July this year surrounded by Colleagues and friends. Dorothy’s family were also able to visit the home and see Dorothy after the staff set up a safe visit through the window, so that they could pass on their best wishes to Dorothy and give her some presents.
Later in the day, Dorothy enjoyed some karaoke with other Residents in the home before tucking into a lovely buffet full of lots of different types of snacks and drinks. Residents also enjoyed a bit of cake and watching Dorothy open her card from The Queen.
Guide Lane Resident, Dorothy Edge said: “I have really enjoyed the day, it was lovely.”
Colleagues at Guide Lane always work really hard to ensure that Residents have an amazing birthday and they work even harder when they know its one as special as a 100th.
