Manchester Resident enjoys a very special surprise birthday partyA Resident at HC-One’s Chorlton Place care home in Chorlton is enjoying his birthday party that was organised especially for him by his Relatives.

Hubert Thomas was unable to see his family for his birthday this year due to lockdown restrictions so he was thrilled when his loved ones liaised with Colleagues at the home to organise a birthday party for him.

Colleagues decorated the lounge area with balloons and birthday banners and organised an incredible spread of food and drink. All the Residents joined in to sing happy birthday to Hubert and celebrate his big day with him.

Hubert said: “I’ve had the best birthday ever, a really good day. All this effort was for me and I couldn’t have asked for more.”

Hubert was overwhelmed with emotion as everyone turned up to his party that was lovingly organised by his family. There was plenty of laughter and singing to be heard as Residents and Colleagues celebrated Hubert’s special day.

Chorlton Place Home Manager, Samantha Clayton, commented: “It was great to hear singing and laughter coming from the Residents and Colleagues. Everyone joined in together to make it a special day.”
