Marketing Suite officially opens at new state-of-the-art Oswestry luxury care homeThe Marketing Suite at Bluebell View Care Home, a new £12 million state-of-the-art luxury 80-bedroom care home in Oswestry, Shropshire has been unveiled. As the home moves closer to its official opening in the coming months, Bluebell View has opened its doors to provide local people with the opportunity to preview some of its communal facilities and bedrooms, meet the team and find out more about life at the home.

The new care home will be operated by care provider, HC-One, The Kind Care Company and be the company’s first facility in Oswestry.

The purpose-built three-storey home will feature residents’ lounges, relaxing reading rooms and a cosy reception and bar area, along with private gardens with courtyards, and is set to create circa 90 new jobs in the area at full occupancy, with roles across care, nursing, property maintenance, housekeeping and food service.

Local artist Richard Briggs was commissioned to create paintings celebrating local landmarks and culture which will be on display throughout the reception and communal areas to make residents and visitors feel at home.

The team at Bluebell View will be led by a specialist Manager with over 20 years of frontline healthcare experience, Michelle Middleton Price. As a registered nurse with additional specialisms in dementia care, Michelle will share her extensive healthcare experience to drive best practice for members of the community receiving residential, nursing and dementia care.

Michelle has previously managed four homes across the country and has an impressive track record of driving excellence for new and existing homes alike. In 2016, she was responsible for transforming an ‘inadequate’ CQC rated home to achieve ‘good’ ratings in all areas within 18 months. Michelle closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

Bluebell View is the latest home to be built in HC-One’s new build programme, which saw three homes open in 2021 (in York, Bingham and Telford). This new build programme is complemented by HC-One’s wider £93 million in its refurbishment and upgrade programme, to modernise and enhance the living environments and facilities of more than 200 of HC-One’s existing care homes across the company. This is the largest ever care home upgrade programme in the UK and will ensure that people across the UK can live and work in specialist, comfortable homes fit for the future of care.

Bluebell View is located on Victoria Road, around half a mile to the south east of the town centre. The main contractor responsible for delivery of this project is Greenchurch Developments, who are based in Mansfield, North Nottinghamshire and have worked closely with HC-One throughout the construction process to ensure delivery of a home which is befitting of HC-One’s high standards.
