Meet the Stoke-On-Trent care home colleague who celebrated her 65th birthday with 40-length charityHC-One’s Coopers Croft Care Home, in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, is thrilled to announce that Julie Prince, a dedicated kitchen assistant, marked her 65th birthday with an inspiring feat after swimming 40 lengths at Biddulph Baths to raise funds for a life-saving local defibrillator.

Thanks to Julie’s remarkable effort and the generous support of the community, the full amount needed for the defibrillator has been successfully raised. Julie personally raised £180 for the cause.

The entire care home community rallied behind Julie, celebrating her commitment to making a difference in Biddulph. The new defibrillator will be a vital resource for the local area by providing critical support in emergencies.

Julie, reflecting on her achievement, said:
“I swam nice and steady, and I am quite proud of myself.”

“Julie did amazing swimming and we’re all so proud of her. I have been raising money for a local defibrillator for over a year now and Julie approached me and told me about how she keeps fit.
“Julie arranged with her local swimming baths to do her challenge on her 65th birthday, where we completed 40 lengths of the swimming pool and raised £180. She just wanted to help and wanted to see how far she could push herself.”
